About these terms
These Terms are an agreement between you and [Operator legal name], [Business address] (“Bluefolio”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using Bluefolio you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information, and our Posting rules apply to every job.
If you use Bluefolio for an organization, you agree on its behalf and confirm you’re allowed to.
Who can use Bluefolio
- You must be 18 or older and able to enter into a binding agreement.
- Profiles are for current students, alumni, faculty and staff of Ateneo de Manila. Students and faculty sign in with their Ateneo Google account; alumni verify with a diploma or alumni ID.
- Anyone hiring for a real organization, or for themselves, can apply to post jobs. We review every employer before their jobs go live.
- One person, one account. You can’t use Bluefolio if we’ve suspended you before, or if the law doesn’t allow you to.
Your account
You sign in with Google. Keep that Google account secure: what happens under your account is your responsibility. Tell us at [Contact email] if you think someone else has used it.
Keep your information accurate: your name, your course and class, your experience, and, if you hire, your organization’s details. Your @handle must not impersonate someone else or a brand you don’t represent.
Verification
The blue check means we confirmed someone is part of the Ateneo community (or, for employers, that we reviewed the organization). It isn’t an endorsement by us or by Ateneo de Manila University of the person, their work or their claims.
Alumni documents must be genuine and yours. We may refuse or revoke verification, for example if a document is altered or a Google account no longer qualifies, and your page goes offline until you’re verified again.
Your content
You own what you post: your projects, writing, images, files and profile.
So that Bluefolio can work, you give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to host, store, reproduce and display your content, to format it for different screens and link previews, and to share it with employers when you apply or appear in talent search, as your visibility settings allow. The license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies we must keep as described in the Privacy Policy and anything you already sent to an employer.
You confirm that you have the right to post what you upload, and that it doesn’t infringe anyone’s rights or break the law. For group work, credit your collaborators and only post what you’re allowed to share. Don’t post confidential information from an employer, client or school.
If you believe something on Bluefolio infringes your rights, write to [Contact email] and we’ll look into it.
Acceptable use
Don’t:
- Make false claims about who you are, your education, your work or your organization, or impersonate anyone.
- Harass, threaten, discriminate against or demean anyone, or post sexual, violent or hateful content.
- Scrape, crawl or bulk-download profiles or jobs, or copy people’s information into other databases or mailing lists.
- Use contact details or applications for anything other than the job they relate to, such as selling, marketing or recruiting for unrelated schemes.
- Send spam, chain messages, pyramid or multi-level marketing pitches.
- Upload malware, probe or break our security, or get around limits, reviews or suspensions.
- Use Bluefolio to break any law, including the Data Privacy Act, labor laws and anti-fraud laws.
Rules for employers
Employers are reviewed once before their jobs go live. We may ask for a website, LinkedIn page or SEC or DTI registration, and we can decline without giving every reason. Every job must follow the Posting rules:
- Show the pay. Every job lists its allowance, salary, rate or budget; unpaid roles say so plainly and explain what applicants get instead.
- Never charge applicants. No training fees, deposits, uniform costs or paid starter kits, ever.
- No commission-only roles. Commission can sit on top of base pay; it can’t be the only pay.
- Describe the real work, the real organization and the real terms.
- Keep applications on Bluefolio or on a working careers page of yours, not just a phone number or personal email.
Applicant information is shared with you only to consider people for the job they applied or were invited to. You become responsible for it under the Data Privacy Act: use it only for that purpose, keep it secure, don’t share it outside your hiring team, and delete it when you no longer need it. Hiring decisions, offers and employment terms are between you and the candidate, and must follow Philippine labor law.
Everyone on your team is bound by these Terms. Admins are responsible for who they let in.
Reports, moderation and suspension
Anyone can report a job or an employer. Our admins review reports and may dismiss them, remove a job, or suspend an employer. Breaking the posting rules gets a job removed; breaking them again, or any scam, gets the account suspended.
We may also take down content, revoke verification, or suspend or close any account that breaks these Terms or puts others at risk, when the law requires it, or to protect Bluefolio. Where it’s safe and practical we’ll tell you why, and you can appeal by replying to the notice or writing to [Contact email].
We don’t check every profile or job in advance, and we aren’t responsible for what members post. Use your judgment, and report anything that looks wrong.
Free to use
Bluefolio is free for students, alumni and faculty, and applicants are never charged. If we ever introduce paid features for employers, we’ll tell you first and they’ll come with their own terms.
Not affiliated with Ateneo
Bluefolio is an independent service. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or run by Ateneo de Manila University. “Ateneo” is used only to describe the community Bluefolio serves. Organization names and logos belong to their owners.
Disclaimers
Bluefolio is provided “as is” and “as available”. We work to keep it running and accurate, but we don’t promise it will always be available or error-free, that you’ll find a job or a hire, or that what members and employers say about themselves is true.
We’re not a party to any job, internship or project you find through Bluefolio, and we aren’t an employment agency.
Limitation of liability
To the extent Philippine law allows, Bluefolio isn’t liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, such as lost opportunities, income or data, arising from your use of the service or from dealings with other members or employers.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, bad faith, gross negligence, or anything else that can’t be limited under the law, including the Civil Code and the Data Privacy Act. Your rights as a consumer are not affected.
If you break these Terms or the law through Bluefolio and someone makes a claim against us because of it, you agree to cover the reasonable costs of that claim.
Ending your account
You can delete your account anytime in Settings → Delete account; the Privacy Policy explains what’s removed and what stays. We may suspend or close your account as described above. Sections that by their nature should survive (your content license for things already shared, disclaimers, limitation of liability, governing law) continue after your account ends.
Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Before going to court, please write to us so we can try to resolve the issue. Any dispute will be brought exclusively before the proper courts of [Venue city], Philippines, without prejudice to your right to file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission or any other government agency.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms as Bluefolio changes. We’ll update the date at the top, and for meaningful changes we’ll ask you to agree again the next time you sign in, before you continue. If you don’t agree, you can delete your account.
