You can just do things
A talk for Ateneo Junior High School students, as a guest of the Ateneo Computer Club, about agency and why you don’t need to feel ready before you start building.

Outcome My first talk, on agency, for the Ateneo Computer Club
The story
The core idea was simple: you can just do things. It’s easy to wait for the right skills, the right moment or the right invitation. Most of the time, you can start smaller and start now.
Everything begins with a small spark: a tiny annoyance that bothers you every day, or an idea for a bigger tool, like the QPI Calculator. The scale doesn’t matter. What matters is deciding to act on an idea.
What came of it
The students asked sharp questions, and it made me want to do more talks like this. Thank you to Niq Suguitan and the club for inviting me.
